Each challenge puzzle kit contains a base/frame (without magnets) to lay the jigsaw puzzle pieces on top of, and a one-piece template to reference while assembling the puzzle, if needed.

These smaller pieces are differentiated from the larger pieces by having triangular indentations on the underside instead of circles.
